It’s important to us that you have a positive experience with our treatment and are fully aware of the associated costs going in to minimize miscommunications or surprises on your bill. Here are a few of our most frequently asked questions about payment for guided TMS treatment at Neurotherapeutix.
Prior to beginning transcranial magnetic stimulation treatment, our patients are cleared through a phone consultation during which we will review their symptoms, past treatments, and other relevant medical history as well as their expectations from TMS. Before the first appointment, we require an initial deposit of $1,000 which goes toward the cost of fMRI brain mapping. In the case of a cancellation, we require notice more than 48 hours before the appointment or the deposit will not be refunded.
After patient is cleared through phone conversation, an initial deposit of $1000 of the $5000 price of the fMRI mapping will be charged to the patient’s credit card. After completion of the brain mapping, patients will be scheduled to come back for a presentation of the results after the balance of $4000 payment. During the follow-up appointment, we will present the results of the fMRI scan and begin treatment.
At Neurotherapeutix, we use our unique functional MRI technology to map the patient’s brain activity. This allows us to identify areas where neurons are not firing properly. The pattern of neuronal activity will allow construction of a personalized treatment plan to improve brain function and reduce symptoms.
Each regular transcranial magnetic stimulation session is $600.
Patients can pay for TMS sessions individually when they come in for each appointment.
Everyone is different, and each course of treatment is personalized to the needs of each patient and their disorder. In general, patients will begin to see results from TMS treatment after 20 to 30 sessions. The initial phase of treatment typically involves daily sessions five days a week for the first 4 to 6 weeks. If you are not able to come in that often or if you are coming from a significant distance for treatment, we can also do multiple sessions per visit to cover your time and travel requirements.
If we have achieved satisfactory results during the acute phase of treatment, we will taper down the frequency of sessions during the maintenance phase. We will draw down the course of treatment to one session per month, then eventually once per three months. We will follow up and continue monitoring the progress of treatment over time to avoid relapses and guarantee long-term results so that the patient will not need to return to the acute phase.
Neurotherapeutix does not currently accept any health insurance, but our staff will speak with your provider to see if any type of out-of-network reimbursement is possible.
We are not offering payment plans at this time.
